By Amit Chowdhry • Apr 4, 2024

Dentons announced it has named Yechiel Belfer as a Banking & Finance Partner working at the Melbourne-based office. Belfer is an experienced banking and finance lawyer who primarily focuses on regulating financial services and consumer credit in the payments and cross-border sectors.

Belfer has extensive experience advising on various regulatory matters that impact financial services providers, including licensing, compliance, regulation, anti-money laundering (AML), payment systems, privacy (including credit reporting), cross-border banking, and distribution arrangements for financial products and consumer credit.

Belfer’s appointment comes on the heels of the appointment of Banking & Finance Partner Nicola Schofield, who joined the Melbourne office last month. And these appointments further enhance Dentons’ offerings for the financial services sector across Australia.
