Dentons has added senior associate Curtis K. R. Cave to its Corporate and Commercial practice in Barbados, a move the firm said will further strengthen its ability to support clients operating across an increasingly interconnected Caribbean business landscape.
Based in Barbados, Cave’s practice spans corporate formations and registrations, restructurings, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on advising regional and international clients with multi-jurisdictional operations. His work also includes shareholder arrangements, commercial agreements, and risk considerations tied to business relationships, according to the announcement.
Dentons said Cave also brings meaningful experience at the intersection of commercial activity and maritime operations. Over the course of his career, he has advised shipping interests, insurers, and international counterparties on admiralty-related matters, including vessel arrests, collisions, secured interests, and vessel releases where commercial exposure was significant.
In addition, Cave’s background includes governance leadership within large financial cooperatives, where he has contributed to policy development, by-law oversight, and board- and committee-level strategic decision-making—experience Dentons positioned as complementary to its corporate advisory work across the region.
Rosalind Bynoe, partner and head of Corporate for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, said the appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment in a collaborative, forward-looking Corporate and Commercial practice, emphasizing both regional reach and practical commercial insight.
