Dentons: Dispute Resolution Partner Ryan Cable Joins Australia Practice

By Amit Chowdhry • Mar 8, 2026

Dentons announced that Ryan Cable has joined the firm as a partner in its national Dispute Resolution practice in Australia, strengthening its capabilities in arbitration and commercial litigation.

Based in Brisbane, Cable focuses on arbitration and commercial litigation matters, particularly in the oil and gas, mining, energy, renewables, and broader resources sectors. His work also includes disputes related to breaches of contract, financing arrangements, and joint ventures.

Cable has received recognition across several legal directories for his work in dispute resolution. He has been listed in the Lexology Index in 2025 and 2026 as a Future Arbitration Leader (Non-Partner). He has also been recognized by Doyles Guide from 2023 through 2025 as a Leading Arbitration Lawyer in Australia. Additionally, Legal 500 UK listed him as a Recommended Lawyer for both International Arbitration and Commercial Litigation in 2022 and 2023.

Dentons said the appointment strengthens its dispute resolution capabilities in Brisbane and supports the firm’s broader strategy to expand its national disputes practice across Australia.

Cable’s arrival follows the earlier appointment of Sarah Fregon as a dispute resolution partner in the firm’s Melbourne office in January.
