Calis brings over 15 years of experience in national and international tax advisory, with a particular emphasis on people tax services, including wage tax, personal income tax, social security and immigration. He joins from Grant Thornton, where he served as tax director of the Dutch global mobility services department.

Calis specializes in advising multinational companies on the intersection of global mobility, employment tax, and social security compliance. Throughout his career, he has guided clients across various sectors, including technology, automotive, consumer goods, nutrition, and natural resources. His expertise also spans HR strategy, business innovation, and entrepreneurship, enabling him to provide pragmatic and commercially aligned tax solutions.

Holding degrees in both fiscal law and business administration, Calis combines deep technical proficiency with strategic insight, allowing him to serve as a trusted advisor on matters that link tax, human resources, and business operations.
