Dentons announced the appointment of Kathryn Alexander as a partner into its Corporate team in London. Alexander joins Dentons from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she specialised in leading large and complex private equity real estate deals.
Alexander has experience leading private M&A and joint venture transactions across the UK and Europe, and has worked with some of the world’s largest and most recognisable private equity firms.
Alexander was recently part of the team representing Blackstone Real Estate in connection with its acquisition of an 80% stake in a c.€1 billion pan-European logistics portfolio owned by Johannesburg-listed Burstone Group. And she also advised Blackstone Real Estate in connection with its sale of a 35% stake in Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), a leading owner of resort hotels in Southern Europe, to global investment firm GIC, in a deal that valued HIP at more than €4 billion.
Some other notable deals include advising Brookfield Asset Management on a joint venture with Logistik Service to invest €500 million in lberian logistics opportunities, and advising on the €600 million acquisition of 150 Avenue de Champs Elysées by Brookfield-backed French fund Cheval Paris from Groupama Immobilier.
