Dentons has expanded its footprint in Africa by launching an offering in Cameroon alongside Kouengoua Minou Nkongho (KMN), which the firm described as one of the country’s leading law firms. Dentons said the move will allow its clients across the more than 85 countries where it has a presence to connect with legal teams that combine global reach with local market knowledge in Cameroon.

KMN brings a 40-year track record advising on complex cross-border matters, supporting clients across Africa and international markets. Dentons said the Cameroon launch strengthens access to legal capabilities spanning corporate law, commercial litigation, and mergers and acquisitions, among other practice areas, as clients seek counsel on transactions and disputes involving the country and the wider region.

Dentons pointed to Cameroon’s position as a significant transit hub as a key part of its appeal to global businesses, describing the country as a gateway for international commercial activity. The firm also highlighted demand tied to Cameroon’s natural resources, citing growth across oil and gas, mining, and agriculture that has increased the need for legal services. Dentons added that ongoing infrastructure development and regional integration could broaden investment opportunities and legal advisory demand across multiple industries.

The Cameroon expansion follows other recent additions to Dentons’ presence in Africa, including Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Senegal, as well as an expansion to the Turks and Caicos Islands.
