Dentons Link Legal Appoints Farhana Merchant Malik As Partner In Real Estate Practice

Dentons Link Legal has appointed Farhana Merchant Malik as a partner in its Real Estate practice, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in real estate transactions, regulatory advisory, and development projects. Malik will be based in the firm’s Mumbai office and will focus on advising clients across infrastructure and real assets sectors.

Malik brings more than two decades of experience in real estate law. Her practice spans complex property acquisitions, commercial leasing, land development, construction contracts, and regulatory compliance. She is known for advising both domestic and multinational clients on structuring and executing large-scale real estate transactions, conducting detailed title due diligence, and navigating the Real Estate Regulation and Development Act, 2016 along with related regulatory frameworks.

Her experience also includes advising corporates, data center operators, warehousing and logistics developers, financial institutions, and professional services firms on office acquisitions and leases, data center developments, industrial and logistics parks, and land acquisition and development projects across India. Malik’s work additionally covers leasehold transfers, MIDC plot transactions, and strategic advisory related to real estate investments and operational compliance.

Prior to joining Dentons Link Legal, Malik served as a partner at J. Sagar Associates. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years at AZB & Partners. She has also worked at DSK Legal, Ashok Pratap & Co., and Kanga & Co., building extensive experience in both real estate and corporate advisory.

Her appointment is part of Dentons Link Legal’s continued effort to expand its real estate practice and support clients operating across India’s evolving infrastructure and property markets.
