Dentons has appointed capital markets partner Oliver Dreher as Frankfurt Managing Partner, placing him in charge of the firm’s Frankfurt office, which has around 60 lawyers.

Dreher, a debt capital markets specialist with more than 25 years of experience, advises clients on corporate, bank, and sovereign bonds, promissory note loans, registered bonds, derivatives, and structured finance transactions. He also works on complex Schuldschein financings and bond restructurings. Dreher joined Dentons in 2019 and has led the firm’s Debt Capital Markets team in Germany.

His client roster includes the Finance Agency of the Federal Republic of Germany, banks such as Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Société Générale, and BNP Paribas, as well as state banks and corporates, including Daimler Truck. Dentons said Dreher is ranked as a leading capital markets lawyer in Germany by Chambers Europe and IFLR1000.

He succeeds restructuring partner Daniel Fritz, who is stepping back from the leadership role to focus on client work amid heightened demand for restructuring and insolvency advice, the firm said.

Dentons operates in more than 160 locations across over 80 countries. In Germany, the firm employs more than 240 professionals and has offices in Frankfurt, Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Munich.
