Global law firm Dentons has appointed Olivier Querinjean as a partner in its Brussels office to establish and lead its Tax practice in Belgium, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in the region. He joins alongside associate Antoine Lebecq.
Querinjean brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate tax law, advising clients on the tax aspects of corporate reorganizations, restructurings, and cross-border transactions, including mergers, demergers, stock and asset purchases, management buyouts, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, and spin-offs. He also advises on employee profit-sharing schemes and represents clients in negotiations with tax authorities as well as tax litigation matters. His practice extends to advising entrepreneurs, family offices, and private clients on complex cross-border structuring and wealth planning. He is ranked in Chambers Europe for Tax in Belgium and previously served as partner and Head of Tax in Belgium at CMS.
The hire is part of Dentons’ broader strategy to expand its full-service offering in Belgium, particularly by strengthening integration across transactional practices such as Corporate and M&A, Banking and Finance, and Real Estate. The addition also supports Dentons’ pan-European Tax practice, which includes more than 140 lawyers and tax advisors across the region.
Over the past year, Dentons has continued to grow its Belgian presence, adding multiple partners across key practice areas including Banking and Finance, Corporate and M&A, Public Law and Regulatory, Restructuring, Litigation, Energy, and Tax.
