Kolwezi is located in Lualaba province, at the center of the Congolese Copperbelt. The city has grown from a small mining town into one of the world’s most significant mineral centers. It is home to major copper and cobalt projects and plays an important role in global supply chains supporting the energy transition.
Beyond mining, Kolwezi also serves as a logistics gateway connecting the Democratic Republic of Congo to regional and international markets.
