Dentons has expanded its restructuring capabilities in Italy with the appointment of Paolo Rusconi as equity partner and head of the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy department. He joins the firm’s Milan office alongside senior associate Mattia Maggioni, marking a significant strengthening of the firm’s offering in complex financial and corporate restructuring matters.
Rusconi brings extensive experience in debt restructuring, banking law, distressed M&A, and extraordinary transactions. Over his career, he has advised financial institutions, corporations, and private equity funds on sophisticated restructuring matters that require both technical fluency and cross-border coordination. Before joining Dentons, Rusconi served as a partner at K&L Gates, where he led the Insolvency and Restructuring practice in Milan beginning in 2019. His background includes work at leading national and international law firms, positioning him as a recognized figure in Italy’s restructuring landscape.
Working alongside Maggioni, Rusconi is expected to reinforce Dentons’ long-standing support to Italian and international clients facing complex restructuring transactions. Their arrival brings the firm’s Italian Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy team to one partner and five lawyers across seniority levels, expanding the department’s ability to handle high-stakes corporate transformations.
The appointments represent a key development in Dentons’ growth strategy in Italy, as the firm continues to enhance its full-service platform across practices.
