Construction Partner Nathan Abbott Added To Melbourne Office

Dentons has appointed Construction Partner Nathan Abbott to its Melbourne office. Abbott has substantial experience in construction and engineering law, advising on major construction projects and acting in major construction disputes.

Abbott’s experience includes transactional and dispute resolution construction law services to institutions, developers, owners and consultants, from project inception to completion, including consultancy agreements; building contracts; protection works disputes; contract administration advice; Security of Payment disputes; litigation and ADR.

Abbott’s clients include property developers, contractors, major corporations, clubs, and organizations.

James Newland Joins Litigation Practice In Washington, DC

Dentons announces that James Newland has joined the Firm’s Litigation practice as a partner resident in its Washington, DC, office. Newland focuses his practice on domestic (US) and international disputes, especially in navigating complex engineering, construction and development projects as well as international organization and foreign sovereign immunity matters.

Newland represents private clients, international organizations and foreign entities in complex arbitration, litigation and transactions. And he is known for his experience litigating significant cases of first impression regarding the immunities of international organizations, government contracts and international arbitration of project disputes. His experience includes representation in trials, arbitrations and appellate proceedings in the DC Circuit.
