Dentons Reveals New Partners In London, Phoenix, And San Francisco

Dentons recently announced it has made several key hires. These are the details.

Andrew Barber

Dentons announced it has hired experienced financial regulatory partner Andrew Barber to its growing UK Regulatory and Investigations team. Barber rejoins the firm from Pinsent Masons, having previously been a Managing Associate at Dentons. Barber joins a growing list of partners who have moved back to Dentons, following in the footsteps of Steph Innes and Sue Moore, both of whom rejoined the firm recently.

A dual-qualified lawyer in Australia and England and Wales, Barber previously held positions at a number of leading law firms as well as in-house at Barclays Wealth. And Barber has broad experience across the UK’s regulation of retail financial services and fintech, particularly on payment services, consumer credit and mortgages.

Barber has extensive experience advising on strategic matters, including new product design, systemic business issues, material interactions with the FCA and the latest regulatory and industry developments. And he acts for banks, insurers, payment firms, fintechs and consumer finance businesses, advising them throughout their regulatory and product lifecycles including on outsourcing matters.

Barber’s appointment strengthens Dentons’ ability to offer specialist regulatory advice to its financial services clients.

Lindsay Jewell

Dentons announced that Lindsay Jewell has been named managing partner of the firm’s Phoenix office. Jewell joined Dentons as a partner in 2023 and is a member of the Firm’s Hospitality & Leisure practice.

Jewell works on local, multistate, and portfolio real estate transactions, and she has a particular depth of experience in the hospitality sector, regularly advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, ground leasing, and hotel and construction finance. Her work on behalf of clients also includes negotiating hotel, restaurant, and brand management agreements, development agreements, franchise agreements, and other related hospitality project contracts.

Andrew Azarmi

Dentons announced that Andrew Azarmi has been named managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco and Oakland offices. Azarmi is a leader in Dentons’ Northern California Commercial Litigation practice, representing clients across the insurance, financial services, technology and telecommunications industries. As a seasoned trial lawyer, Azarmi has served as lead counsel in numerous high-stakes disputes, including jury and bench trials, arbitrations and appeals.
