Dentons: Sebastian Wülbeck Named As Partner In Litigation And Dispute Resolution Practice

By Amit Chowdhry ● Nov 22, 2025

Dentons has announced the addition of Sebastian Wülbeck as a partner in its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Düsseldorf, marking a significant expansion of the firm’s disputes capabilities in Germany. Wülbeck, who officially joins on December 1, 2025, will become part of the 20-lawyer German Disputes group led by Dr. Matthias Hadding.

The appointment supports Dentons’ broader strategic effort to expand its disputes, regulatory, and transactional offerings across the German market. Wülbeck brings a decade of legal experience that spans in-house work and private practice. He previously served as in-house counsel at Uniper before joining Dietrich | Graf Zedtwitz in Düsseldorf as a partner, where he led the dispute resolution department.

Wülbeck has built a recognized practice representing clients in the technology, energy, and infrastructure sectors. His work focuses on commercial and competition law disputes before German courts and international arbitration tribunals. He has led clients through complex proceedings involving monetization issues, project delays, and access to critical digital and physical infrastructure. His experience managing contentious energy and infrastructure matters aligns closely with Dentons’ long-term strategy in Germany.

His addition comes during a year of notable growth for Dentons’ Düsseldorf office, which recently welcomed several lateral partners, including digital lawyer Jan Pohle, corporate and M&A lawyer Sebastian Klingen, and energy and transaction specialist Dr. Kerstin Henrich. Earlier in 2025, real estate lawyer Alexander Mühleisen was also promoted to partner in the Düsseldorf office. With Wülbeck joining, the office’s headcount rises to more than 30 lawyers, including 13 partners.

Dentons currently employs over 250 lawyers across Germany, advising clients through four offices and offering a full range of legal services. Globally, the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice includes more than 1,300 lawyers working on disputes, arbitration, and crisis matters.
