Dentons has expanded its national real estate bench with the addition of veteran lawyer Shauna Towriss as a partner in the firm’s Vancouver office. Towriss joins the Real Estate group with more than 19 years of experience advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and complex development projects involving office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and hospitality properties.
Her work spans commercial transactions, structured development deals, and real estate financings. She has also built a strong practice in designing and structuring investment and ownership vehicles such as syndicated limited partnerships, mortgage investment corporations, and real estate investment trusts. The firm said her arrival supports its strategy of deepening real estate capabilities across Canada and internationally.
Dentons emphasized that the addition of Towriss expands its ability to serve developers, investors, landlords, tenants, owners, and lenders engaging in transactions, financings, land assemblies, condominium developments, municipal matters, commercial leasing, and restructuring projects.
