GI Partners has agreed to acquire Digita Group, one of the largest independent tower and broadcast infrastructure companies in the Nordics, with nationwide portfolios across Finland and Iceland. Digita also plays a central role in Finnish communications infrastructure through its longstanding partnership with Yle, the national public TV and radio broadcaster.
Digita has been owned by funds managed by an affiliate of DigitalBridge since 2018. Under that ownership, the company expanded from roughly 200 tower sites to more than 950 while accelerating growth across its data center and IoT platforms. GI Partners plans to continue scaling the business as Digita remains an independent portfolio company.
Support: The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026. Houlihan Lokey advised DigitalBridge, with Linklaters serving as legal counsel and EY supporting commercial, financial, and tax advisory. Rothschild & Co. advised GI Partners, with Kirkland & Ellis as legal counsel.
