A DigitalBridge-managed investment vehicle has agreed to acquire PLUS ES, one of Australia’s largest smart meter providers and a ring-fenced entity within the Ausgrid Group.
PLUS ES provides smart metering infrastructure, data platforms and related services connecting energy retailers, utilities and network operators.
The company manages approximately 2 million meters across Australia’s National Electricity Market, giving it significant scale within the country’s evolving smart-meter infrastructure market.
DigitalBridge plans to support further expansion as smart-meter deployments increase across Australia.
PLUS ES’s platforms provide customers with data used to manage energy consumption, improve operations and support sustainability initiatives.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
DigitalBridge focuses on digital infrastructure investments across areas including cell towers, data centers, fiber networks, small cells and edge infrastructure.
