Dimension announced the launch of Dimension III, an $800 million fund dedicated to investing alongside entrepreneurs working across the frontiers of science and compute. With the new fund in place, the firm now manages a total of $1.65 billion in assets. Dimension, which launched its first fund in 2023, said it has partnered with 35 companies spanning areas including next-generation silicon, machine learning infrastructure, world models, fundamental physics, and biotechnology and medicine.
The firm said its check sizes have ranged from low single-digit millions to help early-stage ideas formally incorporate, up to more than $50 million for later-stage opportunities. Dimension describes itself as stage-agnostic, having led private financings, founded new companies internally, led crossover rounds, anchored IPOs, and partnered with companies after they went public through both open-market and structured transactions. Its portfolio includes companies headquartered across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, China, and India.
Dimension’s existing portfolio includes Chai, Modal, NewLimit, Anthropic, Earendil, Epana, Monte Rosa, Odyssey, Aspect Bio, Abundance, Achira, Axiom, Biorender, Enveda, Tamarind, and Divergence, along with several undisclosed stealth companies. The firm said it intends to continue publishing internal research as a way of sharing its perspective with current and prospective founders.
KEY QUOTE:
“Don’t be encumbered by history, go off and do something wonderful. We hold with strong conviction that the current moment, the right now, is singular in history. The small decisions we make today, the technologies we invent, and the sciences we progress, will compound and reverb for all of humanity in the coming millennia.”
