Direct Marketing Solutions Acquires Johnson & Quin

By Amit Chowdhry ● Feb 14, 2026

Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS) has acquired Johnson & Quin, combining two direct marketing firms with complementary capabilities to form a larger, national platform spanning strategy, production, and integrated campaign execution. DMS said the transaction strengthens its position in data-driven, omnichannel direct marketing while expanding production capacity and operational reach.

The deal brings Johnson & Quin, described as a family-owned business with a 150-year operating history, into the DMS organization. The combined company plans to maintain a client-first operating model and leverage an optimized Midwest production footprint to improve operational efficiency, speed-to-market, and service delivery.

DMS said the acquisition deepens its ability to deliver end-to-end client services across industries and channels, with added production capabilities and expanded talent across sales, strategy, and client services. Johnson & Quin’s leadership said it evaluated the company’s next chapter with a focus on protecting employees, customers, and the firm’s legacy.

As part of the leadership transition, Johnson & Quin President Andrew Henkel will become President of Direct Marketing Solutions, and Johnson & Quin CEO David Henkel will join the DMS Board of Directors. DMS leaders Mike Sherman and Steve Sherman will move into strategic advisor roles, following what the company described as an 18-month effort to invest in additional leadership and talent.
