Dispersive Holdings is a cybersecurity company specializing in stealth networking and zero-trust network architecture for enterprise and government use. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Dispersive Holdings CEO Rajiv Pimplaskar to gain a deeper understanding of the company.
Rajiv Pimplaskar’s Background

What is Rajiv Pimplaskar’s background? Rajiv Pimplaskar has been the President & CEO of Dispersive Holdings, Inc. (Dispersive) since 2022. Pimplaskar is a cybersecurity industry expert who has been at the forefront of innovation in Stealth Networking, Cloud, Zero Trust, and Identity and Access Management for over 25 years. Before Dispersive, he was the chief revenue officer for digital identity and passwordless authentication company Veridium. Pimplaskar has held leadership and founding team roles at Verizon, Atlantis Computing (acquired by HiveIO), and Cloudmark (acquired by Proofpoint). He has an MBA, a master’s degree in computer science, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Formation Of The Company
How did the idea for the Dispersive/CrowdStrike integration come together? Pimplaskar said:
“Enterprise customers are increasingly dissatisfied with their SASE vendors due to poor user experience,, cost overruns and operational complexity. This has necessitated the need alternative ways of tie the User to the Edge or Cloud. Dispersive’s Stealth Networking technology is a lightweight programmable mesh that adds defense in depth providing a strong network context to CrowdStrike’s device and identity-based risk scoring. This creates a “trifecta” for a whole new level of protection and trust assurance for CrowdStrike’s customers and partners to thwart even the most sophisticated APT- and AI-based attacks. Combining the Dispersive Continuous Trust Authorization Network (CTAN) capability with IDV can preempt even the latest threats such as Scattered Spider and the North Korean remote worker scam. Finally, unlike many other solutions, by providing continuous authorization even after login, this integration finally makes real Gartner’s vision of Continuous Adaptive Risk and Trust Assessment (CARTA) across the Enterprise.”
Core Products
What are Dispersive’s core products and features? What business challenges does it protect and strengthen? Pimplaskar shared:
“Dispersive Stealth Networking is a zero-trust connectivity solution for all the mixed environments of today’s Apps, Users, and Data, grounded in a simple principle: ‘You can’t hack what you can’t see.’ Dispersive replaces or augments SD-WANs, VPNs, ZTNA, and firewalls, eliminating the attack surface and extending zero-trust principles with preemptive cyber defense and resilience. Dispersive can be used for secure remote access, VPN replacement, edge (or branch) to cloud connectivity, isolation and protection of AI workloads, secure enclaves and DMZs, OT/IoT connectivity, and as a core enabler to enable resiliency and performance for cloud transformation projects.”
“As the traditional network and security perimeter dissolves, SASE/SSE, Edge and Cloud are still not properly optimized or protected. Businesses need a new approach that is more performant, secure, and agile. Dispersive Trusted Cloud Edge (TCE) delivers this by creating a secure, programmable, and resilient overlay network that preemptively protects and accelerates SASE/SSE, Edge and Cloud and data in motion, from any user or device to any application, anywhere.”
Unique Solutions
What do Dispersive solutions do that no one else does, or does as effectively? Pimplaskar pointed out:
“Hacking tools have historically been limited to threat actors and security practitioners. AI and hyperautomation have democratized the reach of such tools to a much wider audience. Additionally, AI also makes it easier to target novel applications for modeling such as the enterprise network. A threat actor can now use AI to cost effectively and rapidly model the digital footprint of an enterprise, its sensitive applications and users and use the information as part of an operational blueprint to launch a sophisticated and debilitating attack against the information of value or its supply chain.”
“Incubated in DARPA and with 53 patents granted, Dispersive’s Stealth Networking leverages military concepts such as concealment of users, edge and the network as well as dynamically morphs the attack surface of the enterprise to execute the “kill chain” before even the modeling phase can be completed. Dispersive’s patented active-active multipath capability provides NSA-level security that is post-quantum ready enabling a “nation-state-proof” level of privacy and security. Dispersive enables an end-to-end self-healing infrastructure resilience with sub-second failover times – an industry first! Furthermore, unlike most security solutions that add a performance overhead, Dispersive can improve performance by up to 10X.”
“Finally, Dispersive is a Cloud-native SaaS that sets up in minutes, leverages low-code/no-code orchestration that can fundamentally eliminate the need for multiple point solutions and consolidate User, and Edge connectivity requirements, saving ~40% in TCO for the organization.”
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your work in growing Dispersive? How are you overcoming those challenges? Pimplaskar acknowledged:
“Since our incubation from DARPA, Dispersive was focused primarily on NatSec and Defense. As Enterprises today face the same risks as Governments, our primary challenge is building awareness across the CrowdStrike customer and partner community.”
“Dispersive has pivoted our GTM strategy to make our solutions available to commercial enterprises and become a “Dual Use Commercial First” provider. We have added new features and diversified our customer base across various enterprise and critical infrastructure sectors. The strategy is working well with more than half of our customers currently in the Commercial space including two Fortune 500 companies and growing fast.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since its launch? Pimplaskar noted:
“As the SASE market accelerates the shift towards preemptive cyber defense and cyber resilience requirements, Dispersive has evolved its capability to better align with these developments. Today Dispersive is a 5th generation cloud-native solution available globally with innovation focused on the key pillars of security, features, usability, operations and scale, and observability. We have added 10G speeds, additional SD-WAN features, enhanced our obfuscation capabilities, as well as enabled SDK and IoT form factors. We have launched new 3rd party integrations with SASE providers, hyperscalers, as well as companies like CrowdStrike, IGEL, and Kasm. Finally, our latest release features a brand-new management and orchestration console as well as additional API capabilities.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Pimplaskar cited:
“Some of our key milestones since 2022 include securing our capital raise from private investors, our induction into the AWS Defense Accelerator program as one of only two U.S. companies selected, launching our 5.0 offering, the hiring of our core leadership team, and induction into MissionLink, a non-profit trade association and exclusive network that includes decision makers, government leaders, top founders and CEOs from across the U.S. This year we have scaled our sales organization and secured marquee wins at multiple Government and Enterprise customers – including two Fortune 500 wins! Operationally we have achieved FIPS 140-2 and SOC2 Type II status as well as been inducted into AWS ISV-A, AWS Intelligence Community Marketplace and The Trusted Secure Enclave – Sensitive Edition (TSE-SE) program. The launch of our AI Workspaces initiative with Kasm Technologies, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and NVIDIA as well as our recent CrowdStrike announcement with Dispersive CTAN are more current milestones.”
Customer Success Stories
Can you share any specific customer success stories for the Crowdstrike integration? Pimplaskar highlighted:
“New American Funding (NAF), a top U.S. mortgage lender, is piloting Dispersive CTAN to protect customers, employees, contractors, and vendors. By enforcing identity-based segmentation and applying automatic behavioral access controls, NAF strengthens its defenses without disrupting legitimate operations.”
“Key benefits of the integration include:
— Predictive Patient Zero Isolation – Proactively contain potential threats by combining endpoint, identity, and network context.
— On-Demand Endpoint Isolation – Instantly segment or disconnect risky devices and users.
— Dynamic Authorization – Adjust access rights in real-time based on current risk posture.
— Granular Policy Enforcement – Apply attribute- and score-based controls for sensitive networks, applications, and services.
The integration will be showcased live at Fal.Con 2025 Europe, with demonstrations of real-time authorization and identity attack prevention.”
Partnerships
Are there joint sales, co-marketing or channels co-op elements to this? Pimplaskar revealed:
“Yes, Dispersive CTAN has been well received by the channel and in particular by our SI, VAR and MSP partner community. We are developing a channel bundle that would enable CrowdStrike partners to easily embed us as a value-added capability into their sales motion thereby enabling additional value creation for the partner including consulting and managed services, thereby potentially doubling or tripling account revenue. Furthermore, Dispersive enables additional platformization opportunities for different use cases, thereby making the customer relationship ‘sticky’ and enabling additional sources of expansion revenue for the partner.”
Funding
When asking Pimplaskar about the company’s funding and revenue details, he replied:
“As a private company, our funding and revenue details are confidential. Dispersive is privately funded by high-conviction investors and has strong revenues and operational cash flows that allow us to control our own trajectory. The company is contemplating a growth round around year end to capitalize on market growth and invest in sales and product.”
Total Addressable Market
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Pimplaskar assessed:
“Dispersive addresses an approximate $12.5 billion TAM spanning U-ZTNA and SD-WAN market segments within SASE and the zero trust space. Furthermore, AI and post-quantum crypto risks are driving the shift towards Preemptive Cyber Defense and AI TRiSM (Trust, Risk, and Security Management) which are core enablers for Dispersive adoption. Gartner’s recent Security Impact Radar indicates a 3–5-year forecast for “early majority” market adoption for these technologies.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Pimplaskar affirmed:
“Our deep IP portfolio with 53 patents granted (including 11 internationally) are indicative of the deep technical expertise and capability of our product, and create a strong technical barrier for new entrants. Dispersive’s operational experience with mission deployments including those across Denied, Disrupted, Intermittent, and Limited (DDIL) environments raise the bar for competitors. Our partner-first approach with strong technology integrations with companies like CrowdStrike and AWS, along with our rich GTM partnerships with leading MSPs, MSSPs, and SIs such as Accenture create a first-movers advantage. Finally, Dispersive’s passion for customer success ensures happy customers, creating significant word-of-mouth referrals and product feedback to maintain our leadership and differentiation.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Pimplaskar concluded:
“Our goals are to continue to build the business and drive revenue growth. We would like to forge more market alliances and partnerships to extend our reach. Dispersive plans to expand operations across target regions globally and continue to invest in the product to stay ahead of the market and add continuous value for our customers and partners.”
