DLA Piper announced that André Teixeira has joined the firm as a Partner in its Project Finance practice. He is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
Teixeira’s arrival strengthens DLA Piper’s cross-border finance capabilities across the U.S. and Latin America. His addition also complements the firm’s global projects, infrastructure, and debt finance capabilities.
Teixeira brings more than 20 years of experience advising sponsors, investment funds, and financial institutions on complex financing transactions. His practice focuses on the natural resources, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
His project finance experience spans solar, wind, hydroelectric, gas-to-power, and nuclear developments. He also regularly advises on cross-border transactions across the U.S., Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.
DLA Piper said Teixeira’s experience will enhance the firm’s ability to support clients deploying capital across jurisdictions and sectors. His work is expected to further strengthen the firm’s counsel at the intersection of infrastructure, energy, investment, and complex financing.
The firm advises on financing transactions across borders, sectors, and financial products. Its lawyers represent issuers, underwriters, selling shareholders, sponsors, arrangers, lead managers, originators, dealers, trustees, and depositaries.
DLA Piper’s finance work includes equity, equity-linked and debt securities offerings, structured and project financings, and securitizations.
