DLA Piper has expanded its Insurance practice in Lima, Peru, with the appointments of Gabriel Loli and Rabeth Pareja as partners. The two lawyers join the firm alongside four associates, strengthening its capabilities in insurance coverage, claims management, and complex disputes involving insurers, reinsurers, brokers, adjusters, and policyholders.
The six-lawyer team’s arrival expands DLA Piper’s insurance offering in Peru while supporting the firm’s broader strategy of providing integrated legal services across financing, construction, and infrastructure projects.
Loli brings nearly 20 years of experience advising clients on insurance matters, particularly those involving construction and engineering risks.
His practice includes advising insurers, reinsurers, brokers, adjusters, and policyholders on complex insurance policies, with particular expertise in contractors’ all-risk insurance policies.
He also represents clients in arbitration proceedings before leading Peruvian institutions.
His experience encompasses matters in which insurance coverage must be evaluated alongside construction contracts, engineering risks, and disputes arising from major projects.
Pareja focuses on insurance claims management and civil liability coverage.
He previously led complex general risks claims at one of Peru’s largest insurers and has experience handling claims at a credit and surety insurance company.
His background provides experience in evaluating insurance coverage, developing claims strategies, and addressing disputes involving insurers and policyholders.
Pareja also advises clients on the regulatory framework governing insurance brokers, reinsurers, and adjusters.
Together, the two partners bring complementary experience across insurance coverage, claims management, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
Their arrival follows DLA Piper’s investment in its Peruvian projects and infrastructure capabilities.
