DLA Piper announced that Andrés Loera has joined the firm as a partner in its Finance practice in New York.
Loera’s arrival further strengthens DLA Piper’s Leveraged Finance offering, particularly its lender-side capabilities.
He brings experience advising on broadly syndicated loans, private credit, and cross-border financings.
Loera advises global investment banks, commercial banks, and private credit direct lending funds in their roles as lead arrangers and administrative agents on sponsor-backed acquisition financings.
He also regularly represents Latin America-based companies and financial institutions in debt and capital markets transactions.
The addition reflects DLA Piper’s continued investment in transactional talent and follows the recent additions of Shana Ramirez, Katie McShane, and Michael Makhotin to the firm’s Leveraged Finance practice over the past 12 months.
DLA Piper advises clients on financing matters across borders, sectors, and financial products. The firm’s lawyers work with issuers, underwriters, selling shareholders, sponsors, arrangers, lead managers, originators, dealers, trustees, and depositaries.
Its capital markets work spans equity, equity-linked, and debt securities, along with structured and project financings and securitizations.
KEY QUOTE:
“As the syndicated loan and private credit markets continue to evolve, clients need counsel who understand both the commercial dynamics and execution demands of complex deals. Andrés brings that perspective, along with deep experience advising leading financial institutions on sophisticated acquisition financings.”
