Moran combines strategic legal advice with courtroom advocacy. His practice includes trials, arbitrations, injunction proceedings, complex hearings and appeals arising from sophisticated business relationships and transactions.
He has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and every level of court in British Columbia. This experience positions him to advise clients through disputes that may progress from preliminary hearings and emergency relief applications to trial and appellate review.
Moran regularly handles shareholder and corporate governance disputes, partnership and joint venture breakdowns, and conflicts arising from mergers and acquisitions. He also represents clients in matters involving real estate developments, civil fraud, defamation and business tort claims.
Business tort litigation can involve allegations such as interference with contractual relationships, misrepresentation and other conduct that causes economic harm. These cases frequently require companies to balance legal strategy with broader commercial and reputational considerations.
Moran also brings substantial experience in forestry, energy and natural resources litigation. These industries often involve complex commercial arrangements, regulatory considerations and long-term operating relationships.
