DLA Piper announced that Kevin O’Mara has joined the firm as a Partner in its Private Equity practice. He is based in DLA Piper’s New York office.
O’Mara’s arrival further strengthens the firm’s capabilities for domestic and cross-border private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. He has significant experience advising on domestic and international private equity investments, including platform and add-on acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and recapitalizations of sponsor-owned portfolio companies.
O’Mara also advises on sponsor formation and capital raising, family office investments, and general corporate matters. His experience spans several sectors, including manufacturing, media, business services, healthcare, and technology.
Along with his deal work, O’Mara advises on cross-border and interdisciplinary issues that frequently arise in private equity transactions and portfolio company operations. These areas include finance, healthcare regulatory and compliance, and tax structuring matters.
