DLA Piper announced that Itxaso Lopez has joined the firm as a partner in its Real Estate practice, enhancing its capabilities in advising clients on complex real estate transactions across Spain.
Lopez brings 20 years of experience advising national and international investors on acquisitions, sales, financing, and development of real estate assets. Her practice spans a broad range of asset classes, including residential properties, office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, logistics portfolios, and data centers.
She has particular expertise in land acquisition for large-scale development projects, as well as urban planning and construction matters, positioning her to support clients navigating increasingly complex regulatory and development environments.
The appointment reflects DLA Piper’s continued investment in strengthening its real estate platform in key European markets, as investor demand remains strong across sectors such as logistics, data centers, and mixed-use developments.
In addition to her legal practice, Lopez is an active member of industry organizations including Women In Real Estate Spain and Women in a Legal World, contributing to mentoring initiatives and broader sector development.
