DLA Piper announced that it has appointed Jennifer McCarthy as Senior Consultant in the firm’s Corporate Insurance practice in Ireland. McCarthy will focus on insurance regulatory and transaction matters.
She has more than 20 years of experience advising insurers and reinsurers on complex mandates. McCarthy previously served as Partner and Head of Insurance at Arthur Cox, where she developed and led a corporate insurance practice.
DLA Piper said the appointment strengthens its Irish and international insurance capabilities as the firm continues investing in sector-focused growth areas.
DLA Piper operates across more than 40 countries and has a global insurance team of more than 400 lawyers. The team advises insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries, and financial institutions across transactional, regulatory, claims, and contentious matters.
McCarthy’s appointment follows several recent strategic hires and senior promotions across DLA Piper Ireland.
The firm said her experience in the Irish insurance market and cross-border insurance work will support its ability to advise clients on complex domestic and international insurance matters.
