DLA Piper Appoints Ryan Iskandar As Partner To Strengthen APAC Finance Practice

DLA Piper appointed Ryan Iskandar as a Partner in its global Finance practice. Based in the firm’s Sydney office, Iskandar brings experience across derivatives, securitization, structured finance, private credit, and fund-linked transactions.

He advises fund managers, asset managers, banks, and other financial institutions on complex financial markets and structured finance matters across a broad range of asset classes.

His practice has a particular focus on Asia-Pacific and cross-border transactions within the region.

DLA Piper said Iskandar’s appointment will strengthen its structured finance, derivatives, and securitization capabilities across Asia-Pacific.

The firm also expects his arrival to deepen collaboration across its broader global platform, including tax, financial regulatory, funds, and restructuring practices.

Iskandar joins as DLA Piper continues adding senior talent across its global Finance and Capital Markets practices.

Recent appointments have included Carmen Redmann in Vienna; Rob McClean, Mark Brown, Paul Landless, and Richard Hughes in London; Cathrine Foldberg Møller in Luxembourg; Sherlyn Lau in Hong Kong; Charles Ching in Washington, D.C.; and Shana Ramirez in Los Angeles.

The series of hires reflects DLA Piper’s continued investment in financing capabilities across major international markets.

For the Australian practice, Iskandar’s appointment also adds further depth in complex and innovative financing transactions involving institutional clients and cross-border structures.
