DLA Piper recently announced the appointment of Charles Rix to its International Insurance team. Joining the firm’s London office, Charles has almost 30 years of industry experience advising leading global insurance companies on complex cross-border M&A transactions, insurance business transfers, business restructurings and regulatory matters. And during his career, Charles has been in senior leadership roles at other firms, including Global Head of Insurance and Head of UK M&A.
Charles’ appointment will support DLA Piper’s growth strategy and elevate its Insurance sector bench strength. With his technical knowledge and experience, Charles will focus on supporting the wider European and global Insurance teams on client mandates, business development, and general profile raising.
Charles’ appointment follows several major hires in the firm’s Insurance team across key locations, including Carl Hotton in London, Cristina Gabardi in Milan and Virginie Frémat in Antwerp.
