DLA Piper: Chris Jessup Named As Partner In Litigation And Regulatory Practice

DLA Piper announced the appointment of Chris Jessup as a partner in the firm’s litigation and regulatory practice, which specialises in financial services regulation.

Jessup joins DLA Piper from A&L Goodbody, where he was a partner and Co-Head of the FinTech Group, based in the firm’s Belfast office. And as an experienced financial services (FS) regulatory lawyer, he will bring deep sector expertise, with a particular focus on advising global payment providers, to DLA Piper’s Ireland based and international clients when he joins in May 2025.

Jessup acted on behalf of a range of FS clients including banks, payment service providers and operators, investment firms, fund managers, FinTech firms, and other financial services institutions on matters related to UK and EU financial services regulation.

DLA Piper is one of the largest integrated law firms in the world by headcount and fourth largest by turnover, with lawyers in over 40 countries. The firm established its office in Ireland in 2019 and is now a team of 130+ people, including 20 partners and 12 legal directors.
