DLA Piper Hires Philipp Stanek As Tax Partner In Vienna

DLA Piper announced it has hired Philipp Stanek as a tax partner in its Vienna office, with the appointment effective January 2. Stanek joins from Baker McKenzie Austria, where he served as Head of Tax.

Stanek advises multinational and domestic corporations on international and domestic tax matters, with a focus on M&A, transactions, and corporate restructurings. His work spans cross-border deal structuring, debt and equity financing structures, tax due diligence, and tax litigation.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie in 2016, Stanek worked at EY. DLA Piper said he is both a fully qualified lawyer and a tax advisor, bringing experience across corporate and international taxes as well as indirect taxes.
