DLA Piper: Marcell Nemeth Named As New Head Of Finance Practice In Austria

DLA Piper announced that Dr. Marcell M. Németh, LL.M, was appointed as Head of the Finance Practice for DLA Piper Austria, effective immediately.

With 25+ years of experience in banking and capital markets law, Marcell will follow in the footsteps of his renowned predecessor, Dr. Oskar Winkler, who has held the role for more than ten years.

Marcell – who joined DLA Piper in January 2024 from Wolf Theiss – advised various Austrian and international clients on complex financial matters, such as lending, infrastructure projects, regulatory, and other banking transactions, such as acquisitions and loan portfolios. And his focus areas include English-law projects and corporate finance in Central and Eastern Europe, emphasizing the banking, infrastructure, and fossil and renewable energy sectors. Marcell Németh represents lenders, sponsors, real estate, and other funds and investors (equity or mezzanine debt funders) in the energy sector.
