DLA Piper announced it has appointed technology and real estate lawyer Mark Bennett as a partner in its Sydney office. Bennett has over 20 years of experience in Sydney, London, Hong Kong, and Mumbai. He has an extensive cross-border practice, with industry knowledge in technology and financial services.
Bennett’s practice spans a wide range of areas, including digital commerce, strategic technological services procurement and outsourcing, data governance and digital content, software development and commercialisation, digital infrastructure (data centres and fibre networks), emerging and disruptive technologies (including AI), and sophisticated global sourcing, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
Bennett will join the firm’s Sydney office on 1 May 2025. He is the third partner to join the firm in Australia since January 2025, following the appointment of M&A partner David Holland and finance partner David Kirkland.
