DLA Piper Names New Office Leadership Across The Americas

DLA Piper announced regional office leadership updates across the Americas, naming new managing partners and deputy managing partners in several key markets.

In Buenos Aires, Joaquín Eppens will join Martín Mittelman as Deputy Co-Managing Partner, with Marcelo Etchebarne serving as Office Managing Partner. The firm said Eppens is a transactional lawyer with nearly 20 years of experience advising funds, multinationals, and financial institutions on M&A and financial transactions.

In Dallas, Jason Lewis has been appointed Office Managing Partner, with Meagan Self named Deputy Managing Partner. DLA Piper said Lewis leads civil and criminal regulatory investigations and litigation matters in the US and internationally, while Self is an experienced litigator across class action and multi-district litigation, state attorney general litigation, and qui tam litigation.

In Santiago, Francisca Franzani will assume the role of Co-Office Managing Partner alongside Matías Zegers. The firm said Franzani is the regional co-leader of the US and Latin America White Collar group and has more than 15 years of experience advising clients on judicial and criminal matters globally.

In Canada, Jamie Mandell will take on the role of Toronto Office Managing Partner. DLA Piper said Mandell represents issuers and investment dealers on transactions including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities, going public matters, and M&A. In Vancouver, Michael Mjanes has been named Office Managing Partner, and the firm said he advises clients across real estate, construction, and corporate commercial matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, project development, financing, and joint ventures.
