DLA Piper has announced it has named leading renewables lawyer Luke Westmore, who will be based in Melbourne, as a projects and infrastructure partner.
Westmore joins DLA from PwC Legal (and K&L Gates before that). For the last 15 years, he has been a front-end project and infrastructure partner focused exclusively on large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia and internationally. His clients include a mix of international and Australian companies.
Westmore’s appointment follows that of Tony Rutherford, who specializes in social infrastructure, major projects, and renewable energy projects. Having worked at the firm earlier in their careers, Westmore and Rutherford have returned to DLA Piper.
DLA Piper has advised on various matters across the energy and infrastructure sectors in support of Australia’s push towards net zero.
