DLA Piper announced Baltimore-based Rita Piel as the newest partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice. Piel advises startups to Fortune 100 companies on business, intellectual property (IP), and technology law.
Her work encompasses M&A, financing, and recapitalization transactions. She also works on large licensing and development contracts.
Piel is the lead attorney in structuring and executing public and private M&A transactions and government contracts. And she represents government contractors in drafting, reviewing, and advising on proposals; drafting and negotiating subcontractor, teaming, and licensing agreements; and overseeing bid protests.
