DLA Piper Promotes Over 60 Lawyers To Global Partnership Across Key Practices And Regions

DLA Piper announced the promotion of over 60 lawyers to its global partnership effective May 1, 2026, reflecting continued expansion across multiple practice areas and international markets.

The Corporate practice group accounted for the largest number of promotions with 20 new partners, followed by Litigation with 12 promotions. Additional promotions were made across Finance, Intellectual Property and Technology, Real Estate, Regulatory and Government Affairs, Employment, Investment Funds, and Tax.

Regionally, the United States recorded the highest number of promotions with 24 new partners, followed by Continental Europe with 14, the United Kingdom with nine, Canada with six, and Australia with five.

DLA Piper said the promotions reflect the firm’s continued global growth strategy and its investment across core client advisory areas including corporate transactions, litigation, finance, regulatory matters, intellectual property, and real estate.

Allen Xu will assume the title and role of Head of Trademark, Copyright and Media, Beijing. And Conor Dolphin will remain as senior associate (Partner-Elect) until eligible for partnership in Australia in Q3 2026
