DLR Group announced the launch of a new global Infrastructure practice, expanding its multidisciplinary capabilities across aviation, power generation, and transportation markets to address growing demand for resilient and future-ready infrastructure.
The new practice integrates design, engineering, and planning services, enabling DLR Group to deliver large-scale infrastructure solutions for public utilities, transportation agencies, and clients across its existing sectors, including federal, data centers, manufacturing, and healthcare.
The initiative is supported by a team of experienced leaders with expertise in complex infrastructure programs. David Chow will serve as Global Infrastructure Leader, bringing more than two decades of experience in multimodal and transportation planning. Additional leadership includes Joshua Stephens and Ana-Maria Drughi overseeing aviation design, John Weiskopf leading renewable energy expansion, and Yogesh Saoji contributing global urban planning expertise.
Chel McCarthy has joined the firm as National Infrastructure Business Development Leader, bringing 25 years of experience across transportation, power, and energy sectors to support growth and partnership development.
The launch comes with early project momentum, including work with Mainspring Energy on linear generator technology for efficient, low-emissions power generation. DLR Group has also secured a 10-year contract with a regional power agency to provide design, engineering, and construction services across a multi-state territory, focused on modernizing grid infrastructure and improving operational reliability.
The Infrastructure practice is designed to support evolving industry needs driven by energy transition, transportation modernization, and increasing infrastructure resilience requirements, while advancing integrated, technology-driven solutions for global clients.
