Dopl Technologies announced it has closed a $6.3 million seed round led by SpringTide Ventures, bringing the company’s total funding to more than $8 million. The oversubscribed round included more than a dozen strategic, institutional, and community-focused investors.
The funding will support Dopl’s pursuit of FDA clearance for its product ecosystem, including Traverse, a remote robotic ultrasound system; Dopl Connect, a secure connectivity and data platform; and SonoFlex, a distributed clinical workforce and workflow management solution. The platform is designed to enable sonographers to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams remotely across multiple sites, including rural communities with historically limited access to specialized care.
The funding will support product verification and validation, FDA submission activities, clinical evaluation, and initial market release. Dopl’s current service, CareBridge, delivers immediate, in-person coverage to select hospitals from traveling sonographers and has reduced patient wait times by up to 90 percent in the communities it serves. Additional investors in the round include WRF Capital, Tacoma Venture Fund, HeartX, Transform Health Ventures, and Precursor Ventures.
