Doss: $55 Million Raised For AI-Native Operations Cloud Platform

Doss, a San Francisco-based enterprise software company building an AI-native “Operations Cloud” for inventory-based businesses, has raised $55 million in Series B funding. The round was co-led by Madrona and Premji Invest, with participation from Greyhound, Commerce Ventures, and Intuit Ventures, alongside existing investors including Theory Ventures, General Catalyst, Contrary Capital, Mintaka, Pathlight VC, and 47th Street Partners.

The company said the funding will be used to further develop its unified data model, expand its agentic systems that automate operational workflows, and continue building a new category of adaptable operations software designed to replace rigid, legacy ERP systems. As part of the round, Madrona Managing Director Karan Mehandru has joined the company’s board.

Doss is positioning itself as a next-generation alternative to traditional ERP platforms, arguing that these platforms are slow to implement, expensive to maintain, and unable to adapt to the increasing complexity faced by modern businesses managing physical goods. Its platform is designed to integrate with existing systems, including general ledgers, while enabling procurement, inventory, and order workflows to dynamically adapt in real time.

The company’s architecture centers on a composable data model and an AI-driven automation layer, including its Dossbot copilot, which allows users to configure operations, analyze data, and execute changes via natural-language prompts. This approach aims to eliminate the need for lengthy re-implementations and reduce reliance on consultants.

Doss highlighted early customer outcomes as validation of its approach. Verve Coffee Roasters reduced manually batched orders from 30% to 1% and saved more than 20 hours per week across warehouse operations. Mezcla, a plant-based protein bar brand, doubled its purchase order processing speed and reduced manual workflows, supporting rapid growth across multiple sales channels.

The company believes it is operating at the beginning of a generational shift in enterprise software, driven by AI and automation, where systems evolve from static systems of record into dynamic systems of action that can self-configure and adapt alongside business operations.
