Douglas Dynamics, North America’s leading manufacturer and upfitter of work truck attachments and equipment, announced the completion of its acquisition of substantially all assets of Venco Venturo Industries, a respected provider of truck-mounted service cranes and dump hoists.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Douglas Dynamics as it advances its “Activate” strategic pillar, designed to expand and diversify its portfolio through the acquisition of complex attachments. Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Sharonville, Ohio, Venco Venturo has been privately owned and operated by the Collins family for more than 70 years. The company employs approximately 70 people across two facilities and serves customers nationwide with a full range of electric light-duty cranes, electric-hydraulic cranes, hydraulic cranes, and conversion/dump hoists for work trucks.

Under the new structure, Venco Venturo will operate as a division within Douglas Dynamics’ Work Truck Attachments segment, reporting to Chris Bernauer, President of Work Truck Attachments. The transaction is expected to be modestly accretive to earnings per share and free cash flow positive before synergies in 2026.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Hanley, Hamill, Thomas, Inc. and D.A. Davidson & Co. acted as financial advisors, while Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal counsel to Douglas Dynamics.

Douglas Dynamics, with more than 75 years of innovation in the commercial vehicle sector, operates through two key segments. Its Work Truck Attachments division includes snow and ice control equipment under the FISHER, SNOWEX, and WESTERN brands, while its Work Truck Solutions segment focuses on upfit and storage solutions under the HENDERSON and DEJANA brands. The company leverages its proprietary Douglas Dynamics Management System (DDMS) to maintain operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and deliver superior value to customers and shareholders.
