DreamPark: $1.1 Million Seed Raised For Advancing Downloadable XR Theme Park

By Amit Chowdhry • Jun 1, 2025

DreamPark, the creator of the world’s largest downloadable mixed reality (XR) theme park, announced it raised $1.1 million in seed funding led by Long Journey Ventures, with participation from Founders Inc.

Set up at the forefront of mixed reality innovation, DreamPark is capturing a significant early advantage in the global XR live event market. This growth trajectory presents an opportunity that DreamPark’s technology and business model are uniquely designed to address.

DreamPark transforms physical locations into immersive mixed-reality environments through a network of access points, including physical markers such as QR codes. When scanned with a Meta Quest headset or mobile device, these markers unlock digital overlays on real-world spaces.

The company has already set up successful installations at Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade and the LA County Fair, with planned expansions in Seattle, Orange County, and several expos and corporate events.

This funding comes at a time when retail landlords and event venues are seeking innovative solutions to drive foot traffic and increase engagement. Even though typical VR venues cost over $1 million to build, DreamPark delivers a fully immersive, multiplayer experience that pays for itself in its first month of revenue, with no construction or permanent infrastructure required. This is a more affordable way to turn underused spaces into high-impact destinations.

DreamPark’s leadership team has experience from companies including Two-Bit Circus, Smiley Cap, and Snap, positioning them to execute their ambitious vision of creating the infrastructure for worldwide mixed-reality entertainment.

How the funding will be used: The funding will advance DreamPark’s mission to make Earth worth playing again by transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary adventures through the use of mixed reality technology.

The seed funding will also support DreamPark’s aggressive expansion plans, including:

1.) Deploying access points across new locations

2.) Launching partnerships with major IP holders to create branded theme park experiences

3.) Expanding the company’s fleet of rental Quest headset units nationwide

4.) Growing the development team to accelerate content creation and platform capabilities
