Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Schwaab reflected:
“From the very beginning, I’ve been blown away by the power and sophistication of the DRUID platform, along with the sheer number of use cases the technology solves for. One of my favorite memories is from my early days when I joined the company and had a conversation with our Chief Product Officer, Dan Balaceanu. I asked him what use cases our platform couldn’t handle, or what might be considered too ‘out of the box.’ His response, I’ll never forget; he looked at me and said, ‘Nothing is out of the box at DRUID.’ That’s when I knew DRUID was different.”

What are the company’s core products and features? Schwaab explained:
“Our core products center around our agentic AI platform, which integrates seamlessly with a wide array of systems and data sources. “Another key product is the DRUID Conductor, which helps teams streamline workflows and deliver a unified user experience. It orchestrates all the different agents an employee interacts with, regardless of which system they come from, by directing tasks to specialized child bots, each designed to automate specific business functions like HR, IT, and finance.”
“We also recently added the DRUID QA agent to our offerings, which is an industry-first completely automated quality assurance testing suite that enables enterprises to ensure AI agents give the right answer. It comes preloaded with sophisticated GenAI capabilities that give companies the power to fully test their autonomous AI agents before launch. It can automatically create test cases based on a variety of inputs, run potential conversations for accuracy, and provide analytics on performance impacts.”

Challenges Faced
What challenges have Schwaab and the team faced in building the company? Schwaab acknowledged:
“Working in AI, I find that people are often afraid of what the future holds as these bots grow in capabilities and effectiveness. There’s a fear of AI taking human jobs, which is a big misconception we work to overcome at DRUID AI. AI is a tool, and it’s not capable of replacing humans because it can’t function without them. Instead, it enhances what people can achieve, taking over repetitive tasks so people can focus on more strategic, creative, and meaningful work.”
“One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced is educating the market about this balance between AI and human collaboration. People tend to see AI as a replacement, but we focus on how it’s an augmentation. AI in customer service, for example, can automate simple queries, leaving human agents to handle complex, high-value interactions. And in sectors like healthcare and education, AI takes on administrative burdens, freeing up teams to provide more personalized care and support where it’s needed. This approach has helped businesses not only adopt AI but embrace it as a key driver of growth and innovation.”

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Schwaab cited:
“DRUID AI has celebrated some exciting milestones over the years, especially with our expansion into the U.S. market and the successful completion of our Series B funding round in September 2023. Following our Series A funding, we shifted our focus to the U.S. market, building on our Romanian roots. This expansion has not only allowed us to grow our leadership team but has also opened doors to a wider audience, with the U.S. now accounting for over half of our revenue due to the strong demand for AI-powered solutions here that enhance both employee and customer experiences.”
“However, the most exciting milestones are our continuous product innovations, like the DRUID Conductor mentioned previously, and now our new Microsoft Copilot 365 extension, allowing you to build and connect agents with business skills within Copilot – extending the reach of Copilot. With these innovations, DRUID agents have now had over 1 million conversations.”

When asking Schwaab about customer success stories, he shared:
“We recently worked with Georgia Southern university on co-creating a conversational AI solution, Gus. This virtual assistant was designed to offer students a more dynamic, responsive, and interactive platform, overcoming the limitations of traditional SMS communication. Gus seamlessly integrated with Georgia Southern’s existing digital infrastructure, enabling instant, 24/7 access to information and services for both students and staff.”
“The introduction of Gus completely transformed student interactions by providing 24/7 access to personalized information and services. The 26,000+ students at Georgia Southern now all benefit from continuous support, and with over 300,000 messages sent so far with a less than 1% opt-out rate, we saw widespread acceptance and positive impact of the program. Not to mention, the school also saw over $2.4 million in additional revenue from bringing on Gus.”
