Duravant announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Matthews Automation Solutions from Matthews International Corporation, marking a significant expansion of Duravant’s software, controls, and warehouse automation portfolio. Matthews Automation Solutions is recognized for its Pyramid, Compass, Nexus, and Lightning Pick brands, which provide Warehouse Execution System and Warehouse Control System software, along with controls and integration services, for omnichannel, e-commerce, and warehouse operations. Following the close of the transaction, the business will join Duravant’s Material Handling operating group.
The acquisition represents a strategic step for Duravant as it strengthens its presence in material handling and broadens the solutions offered through operating companies such as FMH Conveyors, NPI, QC Conveyors, and Motion06. By integrating WES and WCS technologies, Duravant aims to provide more comprehensive material flow and order fulfillment systems to customers across the retail, e-commerce, parcel, and logistics sectors. Matthews Automation Solutions brings established development and operations hubs in Cincinnati and Pewaukee, expanding Duravant’s engineering footprint and technical depth.
Duravant emphasized that bringing advanced software and controls integration expertise in-house will help meet growing customer requirements for higher productivity and more efficient warehouse systems. The company also noted that this acquisition supports its long-term growth strategy by adding specialized capabilities that enhance its overall automation platform.
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close before March 31, 2026.
