DwyerOmega Buys Burns Engineering, Expanding Precision Temperature Measurement Portfolio

DwyerOmega, a measurement and control solutions manufacturer backed by Arcline Investment Management, has acquired Burns Engineering, adding certified, metrology-grade temperature measurement products to broaden its precision temperature measurement offering.

Burns Engineering was founded in 1965 and is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The company provides temperature measurement solutions and devices used for precision applications, including in biopharma, food processing, and calibration laboratories. DwyerOmega said the deal strengthens its product lineup and expands its ability to serve customers with an enhanced support and service network. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Burns Engineering is expected to continue supporting customers across markets, including pharmaceutical and bioscience, food processing, chemical, gas and oil, and OEM suppliers, offering both engineered-to-order solutions and standard catalog products through direct sales and authorized representatives.

DwyerOmega is a portfolio company of Arcline, which said it focuses on building industrial platforms designed to compound earnings over long time horizons.
