Dynamic Group announced that it has completed the acquisition of Cycle Construction Company, forming one of the region’s largest civil construction and disaster response firms.

Cycle Construction, a family-owned contractor based in Kenner, Louisiana, brings more than five decades of experience in heavy civil construction and emergency response services. Its capabilities span levees, floodwalls, pump stations, underground utilities, marine construction, demolition, environmental infrastructure, and large-scale emergency response.

The company has played a significant role in disaster recovery efforts, including responding immediately after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, where it conducted pump station repairs, emergency levee work, and debris removal. Over the years, Cycle Construction has completed 70 projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers focused on reconstruction and response.

Following the acquisition, Cycle Construction will continue operating under its existing name, leadership team, and Kenner headquarters, while becoming part of Dynamic’s broader platform.

Dynamic Group, headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a general contractor and disaster recovery firm with 24 years of experience. The company has managed federally funded programs across the U.S., supporting more than 30,000 families and helping protect communities from natural disasters.

The combined organization will offer expanded services across heavy civil construction, demolition, site preparation, infrastructure, logistics, and disaster response. Together, the companies will serve federal, state, local, and private-sector clients across projects involving transportation, ports, flood protection, and water and wastewater infrastructure.

The acquisition also follows a recent leadership transition at Dynamic, with Zach Butterworth joining as CEO in September 2025, while Josh McCoy moved into the role of Chairman.

KEY QUOTES:

“This acquisition brings decades of heavy construction experience and capabilities to Dynamic’s clients. The Kernion family and the Cycle team have built a best-in-class operation, and we look forward to expanding the resources available to our clients across the region.”
