Gabrielle Browne’s Background

Could you tell us more about your background? Brown said:

“I come from a small country town in New South Wales, and creativity and independence were instilled in me from a young age. I started by sewing clothes for my Barbie dolls and organising raffles in kindergarten to fund new materials. My mum encouraged me to take adult sketch classes before I turned ten. That early mix of creativity and enterprise laid the foundation for everything that’s followed.”

“Professionally, I started in the global textile and fashion industry, working across Australia, China, and India. I developed expertise in product design, manufacturing, and commercialization, and later transitioned into animal health tech. As co-founder of Alpha Vet Tech, I led the global rebrand, marketing, business development, and on-sales functions, as well as creating the systems and materials that supported our presence at veterinary conferences around the world.”

“That combination of design thinking, commercial execution, and strategic leadership is what I now bring to Dynamic Unicorns. It’s hands-on experience that allows me to help founders build with strategy, soul, and scalable systems.”

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for Dynamic Unicorns come together? Browne shared:

“The idea came out of a moment of misalignment. I was part of a company I had co-founded, and over time, I realised the direction we were heading no longer aligned with the values I originally brought to the table. That experience became a turning point. It reminded me just how important it is for founders to stay connected to their original spirit and purpose.”

“Dynamic Unicorns was born from that realization. The name is a redefinition of what a unicorn business can be. For me, it’s not about billion-dollar valuations. It’s about building something rare, resilient, and deeply reflective of your values. Anyone can build a unicorn if they’re empowered to do it their way. That’s the heart of what we do, we help make that possible.”

What has been your favorite memory working at Dynamic Unicorns so far? Browne reflected:

“For me, the biggest buzz comes when founders really start to get it. When their purpose clicks into place, they understand who their customer is, and they become crystal clear on what they stand for. That clarity changes everything.”

“One moment that stands out is working with Virginie Esprit. When she first came to me, she was in a rut. She’d spent more than ten years trying to get her business off the ground, but couldn’t quite gain traction. We deep-dived into the heart of her service, figured out how to monetise it, and reframed her entire offer. That shift opened up global opportunities she hadn’t even considered. It took her from a concept to something concrete, and gave her the clarity and confidence to back herself. These are the kind of stories that make this work truly meaningful.”

“While we’re not a tech platform in the traditional sense, we are a service-led business that blends structured systems, strategic guidance, and scalable support. Our offering is evolving to include three key streams under the umbrella of UPCROWD, a name that captures the spirit of rising together, not alone.”

“The UPreneur CROWD is for solopreneurs, partnerships, and small businesses, particularly those just starting out or entering early growth. It includes one-on-one support, brand development, strategy building, and access to workshops, webinars, and resource templates.”

“Then there’s the UP-Start CROWD, which is built for early-stage tech startups. I work closely with founders to define their concept, validate market fit, build MVP strategies, forecast finances, and structure their early-stage launch. Sometimes that looks like contract support; other times it’s embedded consulting. It’s all about giving startups access to experience without needing a full-time hire.”

“The third stream is FRAC-CROWD, which is our fractional resourcing model. I tap into a trusted network of developers, designers, and strategists to deliver project-based outcomes. I act as the fractional lead or project manager to make sure what we deliver stays aligned with business needs. It’s perfect for companies that need capability, not headcount.”

“At Dynamic Unicorns, we don’t sell ‘mentoring sessions’. We deliver structure, insight, and execution, packaged in ways that reflect each founder’s journey. That’s what makes us unique.”

Challenges Faced

Have you faced any recent challenges in your sector? Browne acknowledged:

“Client readiness is a big one. Some people want to start a business but aren’t ready to do the work. I’ve learned to meet people where they are, not where I wish they were. That mindset shift helps me adapt to the pace and headspace of each founder. It’s not about pushing, it’s about patiently guiding, and appreciating that everyone’s on their own timeline.”

“Time is another constant challenge. There are only so many hours in the day, and the demand for support far outweighs what I can personally give. That’s one of the reasons we’ve been embracing tools and systems that scale our ability to deliver value.”

“AI has been a game-changer. We’ve used it to build internal resources, create marketing content, and accelerate deliverables. What used to take weeks now takes days. But AI isn’t a replacement, it’s a tool. You still need creativity, discernment, and a human lens to ensure alignment and quality.”

Evolution Of The Company’s Technology

How has your technology evolved since launching? Browne noted:

“We’ve had to embrace technology out of necessity. With limited time and high demand, tech allows us to scale without losing quality. We use HubSpot for CRM and lead management, Google Sheets for planning, Canva for branding, and Zapier to automate repetitive workflows. We use WhatsApp, Google Meet, and Teams to stay connected with contractors, partners, and clients.”

“We also use AI in a practical, grounded way. Tools like Tactiq help us take notes during meetings using AI, so we can stay fully present in the conversation but still walk away with detailed, actionable outcomes. It’s a value-add for clients because it speeds up follow-up and enhances clarity.”

“Whether it’s ChatGPT to structure content drafts or automation to reduce admin time, our approach is always about using the right tools, not the flashiest ones, to deliver a better experience for our clients.”

What are some of Dynamic Unicorns’ most significant milestones? Browne cited:

“2025 has been a big year. I was honoured to receive two international awards, Empowered Woman of the Year and Top Business Advisor of the Year, from the International Association of Top Professionals.”

“I was also invited to judge two regional business awards and delivered business masterclasses through the Rare Birds Business Booster Program in partnership with Uber, helping founders build practical tools and frameworks for growth.”

“So far this year, I’ve supported 18 clients, delivered four workshops, conducted more than 10 webinars, and held over 100 meetings. Those aren’t just numbers. They represent transformation, momentum, and a ripple effect that reaches beyond any single founder or business.”

When asking Browne about customer success stories, she highlighted:

“One of our clients is Morphosys, an AI-powered screenwriting and production platform designed to streamline the creative process for writers and producers. The founder and I first connected through the Rare Birds Business Booster Program with Uber. After the mentoring phase, he joined the Dynamic Unicorns ecosystem for deeper support.”

“Over the past two years, we’ve worked together to take Morphosys from concept to investor-ready. That’s meant refining the product roadmap, clarifying the brand message, and developing a full suite of capital-raising materials. It’s now positioned to attract aligned investors and scale.”

“WK9A is another great example. It’s a dog daycare and training business that came to us at the very beginning. They had no premises, no systems, no clear model. Over three years, we’ve helped shape it into a growing business with structure, trained staff, financial forecasting, and repeatable systems. When asking Browne about the company’s revenue and funding details, she revealed:

We’re bootstrapped—and proud of it. Everything we’ve built has been through grit, intention, and consistent delivery. So far this year, we’ve supported 18 clients, delivered 10 workshops, held over 100 client meetings, and seen more than 5,500 seconds of video watch time on Meta.”

“Across Instagram and Facebook, we’ve clocked over 200 organic interactions—no paid reach, just steady engagement. For a founder-first consultancy that only recently launched its digital system, that’s real traction. Every touchpoint is earned, and every interaction reflects genuine interest in the work we do.”

Total Addressable Market

What total addressable market (TAM) is Dynamic Unicorns pursuing? Browne assessed:

“Our TAM is focused not on the loudest or flashiest segments, but on the most overlooked. Founders who fall outside traditional startup culture but have deep potential to build meaningful, sustainable businesses.”

“That includes early-stage founders who don’t qualify for traditional accelerators or incubators. It includes men and women over 50 who are building businesses for lifestyle, independence, or legacy, rather than hustle culture. It also includes side hustlers, second-career entrepreneurs, and reinventionists across Australia, the US, the UK, and Canada.”

“In Australia alone, over 1.3 million people aged 50+ are actively pursuing small business ventures, as many as sole traders or microbusiness owners. In the US, more than 25% of new businesses are started by those aged 55 to 64, and similar figures are reflected in the UK and Canada.”

“This demographic is growing rapidly, but few platforms meet their pace, confidence, or realities. We’re here for the ones ready to invest in themselves and do things differently.”

What differentiates Dynamic Unicorns from its competition? Browne affirmed:

“We’re not here to replicate what others do. In fact, many of our clients come to us because they feel left out of traditional consultancy and advisory models. Many early-stage founders, particularly those over 50 or building a business alongside life commitments, don’t have the capital, time, or appetite for expensive programs or jargon-heavy strategies. What they need is clarity, adaptability, and someone who truly understands how to meet them where they are.”

“At Dynamic Unicorns, we do exactly that. We offer flexible, real-world support. tailored to solo founders, small teams, and second-career builders. We don’t sell “hours.” We embed with our clients. We create tools, workflows, and growth systems that they can actually use. What are some of the company’s future goals? Browne emphasized:

“Our focus for 2025 is growth with intention. We’re committed to continuing our support for existing clients,  ensuring they stay on track, reach their milestones, and feel confident as they scale. At the same time, we’re preparing for our next phase: expansion into the Canadian and US markets.”

“This includes building stronger brand awareness and establishing credibility in North America, where the needs of late-blooming founders and second-career entrepreneurs continue to grow. To do that, we’re growing our team with people who align with our values. We’re building thoughtful partnerships and continuing to refine the tools and systems that allow us to scale. This next chapter is about going deeper and wider, serving more founders, in more places, without compromising on the quality or the ethos we’ve built our name on.”

Anything else you’d like to share? Browne concluded:

“Yes, and it’s something I tell every founder I work with: we’ve got to stop chasing shiny objects. There’s this pressure to be across every trend, every new tool, every emerging platform, but this mindset diverts attention from what truly matters. At the core, every business needs two things: a solid product or service offering and a great customer experience. That’s it. Everything else is built around those foundations.”

“But so often, founders spend all their time on the fun and creative aspects of their work like branding, socials, or community, while shying away from the strategic, financial, and operational elements that actually drive growth. Most people are already sitting on tech tools they’re underusing. Start there. Learn what you actually need before layering on complexity.”

“Growth doesn’t have to be chaotic. It just must be intentional.”
