Dynasty Financial Partners announced the formalization of Dynasty Consulting Group, a new management consulting division designed to help independent registered investment advisors accelerate growth and build enterprise value. The initiative is anchored by Dynasty’s upcoming acquisition of Optima Group, a strategic advisory and brand-building firm with more than four decades of experience serving the financial services industry.

The combination will bring together Dynasty’s technology, investment, and capital platform with Optima Group’s expertise in growth strategy, branding, and marketing. The companies said the transaction will create a differentiated consulting offering for RIAs seeking support across business development, operations, and value creation.

Dynasty currently supports more than 725 advisors and oversees over $125 billion in assets under administration. Through Dynasty Consulting Group, firms will gain access to strategic guidance on growth, succession planning, talent management, and technology adoption.

The expanded consulting platform combines growth consulting services with Dynasty’s technology platform, institutional investment capabilities, investment banking expertise, access to capital, and operating experience gained from helping launch and scale independent advisory firms. Services may be delivered either as part of Dynasty’s broader RIA platform or as standalone engagements.

The consulting group will provide expertise across leadership development, marketing and communications, AI-enabled technologies, data and cybersecurity, and financial, tax, and equity planning.

Founded in 1979, Optima Group has built a reputation for helping wealth managers, family offices, fintech companies, and institutional asset managers clarify their messaging and business strategies. Following the acquisition, Optima Group will continue operating from Fairfield, Connecticut, with President Kenneth R. Hoffman becoming head of Dynasty Consulting Group. Managing Director Ellen H. McKay and Director of Client Strategy Peter K. Ward will also join Dynasty.

The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks. Dynasty Investment Bank is serving as financial advisor to Dynasty Financial Partners.

“Our advisors bring their best thinking to their clients’ business and financial needs, so we owe them the same in return structured assessments, clear advice, and a roadmap to sharpen their positioning and accelerate their growth. The Dynasty Consulting Group makes these services available on the very same platform where we already meet our firms’ technology, operations, investment, and capital needs. It’s all in one place, and it’s all designed to create lasting enterprise value.”

“I’m excited about this next chapter. We’ve always believed that clarity is the foundation of sustained growth. Joining Dynasty with its extraordinary platform, capital, and operating expertise gives us the ability to bring that approach to more firms, and to back it with resources no independent advisory firm has ever had access to before. Dynasty Consulting Group will continue Optima Group’s focus on providing objective advice and counsel to wealth and asset management firms, while also bringing the expanded capabilities of Dynasty’s robust platform to bear for our clients.”
