Eagle Eye Networks announced the launch of its $1 million 2026 Drako Smart Video Security Grant for Schools, an initiative created to strengthen safety for K-12 schools, colleges, and universities across the United States. The program builds on the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing campus security through advanced cloud video technology and AI-driven tools.
The grant enables institutions to implement Eagle Eye’s new AI Camera Gun Detection system, which integrates seamlessly with existing camera infrastructure to help schools enhance their security posture without costly hardware upgrades. Awardees may also receive up to one year of funding for the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS and associated components, a platform designed to deliver real-time insights, centralized management, and scalable analytics capabilities.
The company’s cloud-based video management system supports a wide range of security features, including gun detection, 911 camera sharing, cloud storage, vape sensors, and integrated AI capabilities that enable school administrators to detect threats and respond quickly to emerging situations. Schools can utilize their current cameras or integrate their on-site surveillance with Eagle Eye’s cloud platform to create a unified and proactive security environment.
Eagle Eye Networks’ technology is camera-agnostic and compatible with virtually any brand, helping schools adopt advanced AI and cloud capabilities without replacing existing hardware. Its Triple-layer Verification system for gun detection combines multiple levels of AI with human review to deliver high accuracy. Additional capabilities include license plate recognition, cabinet and remote location monitoring, and integration with door access control and numerous third-party systems.
This marks the third time Eagle Eye Networks has funded a Drako Smart Video Security Grant for Schools, bringing its total contributions to more than $2 million for U.S. institutions. Applications for the 2026 grant are open immediately, with awards distributed on an ongoing basis.
