The Eagle Leasing Company has acquired GoldStar Storage Container & Trailer Rentals, expanding the Kinderhook Industries-backed company’s presence in southeastern North Carolina. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
GoldStar is headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina and provides storage containers, storage trailers and office containers to contractors, businesses and industrial customers throughout the region.
The acquisition adds another location to Eagle Leasing’s Southeastern branch network and provides additional resources to its existing operations in Charlotte and Raleigh.
GoldStar was founded in 2019 and is owned and operated by Leigh Ann Burdick and Patricia Burdick.
The company operates its rental fleet from a Wilmington yard and has built its business around providing storage equipment with rapid delivery and customer service.
Leigh Ann and Patricia Burdick will remain involved following the acquisition to support the transition and maintain continuity for GoldStar customers.
Eagle Leasing said the deal fits its strategy of adding density within existing markets while acquiring and partnering with portable storage businesses focused on customer service.
The company continues to seek additional acquisitions and partnerships with portable storage operators across the Eastern United States.
Eagle Leasing was founded in 1967 and provides containers, trailers and mobile office products.
The company operates a fleet of thousands of units serving public utilities, industrial manufacturing, construction, warehousing and logistics, retail, education and government customers.
Eagle Leasing was acquired by the Rent-A-Container Network in July 2025. The broader organization subsequently consolidated its family of businesses under the Eagle Leasing brand.
Its legacy brands include Rent-A-Container, ModuGo, A-1 Mobile Storage, Kelcon, Stuff-It Storage, Fortin Modular Storage, Wayside Trans. Corp, Containers4Less, Graf Bros Leasing and Schneider Trailer & Container Rental.
Eagle Leasing is a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, which has raised approximately $11 billion of committed capital and completed more than 500 investments and follow-on acquisitions since its founding.
